Some buy here pay here dealers will ask: why should I pull a credit report? When you sell an in-house financed deal, you are adding that piece to your existing portfolio as a whole. You are the one taking the risk. So ask yourself- would you jump out of a plane with a parachute you hadn’t checked out? When Kenneth Shilson, CPA and President of Subprime Analytics, spoke at the 2007 NIADA Convention, he stressed the importance of pulling credit reports because they help you anticipate bankruptcies and identify key credit history changes. He also pointed out that both credit scores and the number of items in collections have a direct correlation to your loss rate. We had a few glitches with phone lines Monday morning (again- thanks everyone for your patience!), but by the afternoon things were back up and running as smoothly as ever. We’re thrilled to be in our own space, and with room to grow! Looking around, we can’t help but stop to think that none of this would be possible without our loyal dealers. We’ve hit the 6,000 active customers mark this year. Another time saver from Frazer!

Here’s the simple truth- no one likes data entry! You’d always rather spend less time typing at a computer than on the lot selling cars, right? You can get your vehicle entry done faster with our VIN decoder. Since 1981, there has been a standardized 17 character VIN in use. This VIN contains basic information about the vehicle to which it is assigned. When you enter a valid vehicle VIN in Frazer, our VIN decoder populates a majority of the basic vehicle information, including: year, make, model, style, body type, transmission, engine, cylinders, drivetrain, fuel type, and vehicle type. It also populates all of the vehicle features that were available to the vehicle at the time it was manufactured, which you can print on a window information sheet. Think of that- enter the VIN and pricing, and you’re already printing the window sheet! It’s just another feature of Frazer that makes your job easier.

On the road again!

Mike Frazer is headed out the door to the GIADA convention in Lake Lanier Islands, GA today. This year we’ve really enjoyed visiting so many conventions. It’s a great opportunity to meet other vendors we can collaborate with to make our dealer’s lives easier. We research the latest trends and exciting new ideas. These conventions not only help make those connections, but feature education lectures with invaluable insights. Most importantly, we get a chance to talk to you, our dealers. We love hearing your stories and putting a face to the names we know so well! In the very near future, we’ll be attending conventions for the Texas IADA, Alabama IADA, Virginia IADA, and the Leedom Group’s 16th annual national convention. Update Bonus: Inventory Listing Improvements!

The latest version of Frazer includes improvements to the basic Inventory Listing report (Reports, 1-Vehicle Inventory Reports, 2-Inventory Listing, 4-Basic Report). This report has been cleaned up by removing the tag number field to make room for some helpful additions. You’ll now be able to view which vehicles have been set to upload, as well as viewing the transmission and drive train fields from the vehicle file. A great improvement to a dealer favorite!

Print Payment Coupons in Frazer

Frazer comes with the option to print payment coupons for your customers. In Frazer, click on Sales, 2 – Print Payment Coupons, select the customer that you want to print for and then the coupon that you want to use! It’s that simple!

New Options in Exporting Data

We have recently added more options to the Export Data feature in Frazer. There are now 57 items that can be exported from the system; the newest additions are Temp Tag, Profit on Sale, Service Contract, Doc Fee, Lien Holder Name, Vehicle Insurance Information, Co-buyer and Co-buyer Birthday. To see these and all the other options available in the export feature, click on Miscellaneous and then 8 – Export Data.
