The FRAZER system provides different options for calculating salesman commissions (Figure 1). You can calculate commissions on a single sale or for a group of sales based on sale dates. Also when calculating the commission, you decide if the commission will be based on the profit, sales price, or down payment. Profit is defined as the Price minus the Trade Differential minus the Total Vehicle Cost. So, under this option, the greater the difference between selling price and vehicle cost, the higher the salesman commission will be. In calculating profit, you are also given the option to include or not include items such as Other Service Fees, Financing, Document Prep Fee, and Company Overhead. Before calculating commission, you must first enter what percentage of the profit, sales price, or down payment to use.
Helpful Hints
If a commission is calculated incorrectly, you can rerun the program to correct it.
