Low Balance In System Options, you can choose to have the program prompt you when a customer's balance falls below an amount you specify. With this option, you will be given the choice to forgive their remaining balance.
For example, if you have the amount set to $5, and a customer who owes $501.38 makes a payment of $500, they will have a remaining balance of $1.38. Since the amount has fallen below $5, the system will ask if you want to forgive the remaining balance. If you click no, the balance will remain $1.38. If you click yes, the system will automatically enter a forgive charge for $1.38 and the customer will have a balance of $0. Portion of a Balance In general, you may want to forgive some portion of a customer's balance for whatever reason. To do this,
If the customer has repairs, pick-up, or fees balance, make sure the forgive charge is being applied to the correct balance by looking at the "Apply To" box in the bottom right corner of the payment screen.
