General Information If you have your computers networked, you can share the FRAZER system and any data you have stored with it. You will only run the FRAZER program from your main server, and all of the other computers will access the program and data from that computer.
The benefit of networking multiple computers is that you can enter data into the system from any of the computers
Before using this page to network your computers for the FRAZER software, however, you need to make sure your computers are connected by hub, switch, router, or, for only two PC's, cross-over cable. If your computers are successfully networked, they should be able to "see" each other. To verify this, on your desktop. If you can see the other computers from this screen, then you are networked and ready for the instructions in this page. If you cannot see the other computers, and are unfamiliar with how to network computers, we recommend bringing in a computer technician to help.
Once your computers are networked, you are ready to share the FRAZER system between the computers. You should only have FRAZER installed on the main server. If you already have FRAZER installed on more than one computer, you will want to delete FRAZER from all computers except your main server. When doing this, however, be very careful NOT to delete the FRAZER program with all of your data!!! Just deleting the icon will NOT delete FRAZER. To delete FRAZER,
If you have the FRAZER program running successfully open your main server and no FRAZER on the workstations (all other computers), then click on the appropriate link below. The process to share programs between networked computers is slightly different for different versions of windows. If you are unsure of what version of windows you are using, on your desktop, and then . The top line, directly under System, will list your Windows version. If your main computer is running a different version of Windows than your workstations, follow steps 1 and 2 for the Windows version of your main computer, and then steps 3 and 4 for the Windows version of your workstations. If you have Windows 2000, the instructions are closest to Windows XP and if you have Windows ME the instructions are closest to Windows 95/98. However, if you don't have XP, 95 or 98, if you are not experienced with computers, you may want to call us at 888-963-5369 for help networking. Of course, if you are using any version of Windows and need help networking (or need help with anything else), feel free to give us a call! How Do I Get There?
