General Information This program has two separate purposes. It can be used to enter customers (sales) that are already on your books when you first purchase the FRAZER system. It can also be used to enter accounts you have purchased from other dealers.
Data for customers that had a sale date prior to using the FRAZER system can easily be entered into the FRAZER system so that you can begin to track their account activity. It will allow you to enter the exact numbers that a previous system calculated or that were determined by hand calculations. The system asks for the vehicle information, customer information, and the initial contract information. This program does not allow you to enter all of the information that the system can store because it is mainly designed to get you up and running quickly. It will also prompt for the entry of the customer's current contract and fees balance at the time that you are entering them into the FRAZER system.
It is important that the original sale information and current balances are entered correctly because the system will use this information to calculate the amount that has already been paid, interest paid by the customer, current amount due, and the next due date.
Once the pre-existing customer is entered, you can perform any transactions for them as you would a new customer in the system. However, all transactions created by entering pre-existing or purchased customers will not print on your transaction activity reports. This allows you to enter actual payments and not have your reports skewed by "previous" payments that had actually been entered many months before. Helpful Hints After a pre-existing customer is entered in the system, their Transaction History could show 3 entries:
There is additional information on entering pre-existing customers included in the FRAZER system. at the top of the main screen, then, and then the . This screen discusses how this program can be used.
When entering information for a pre-existing customer, make sure that you enter the Sale Date from the actual contract on the Vehicle & Customer Information Tab. If you try to enter a First Payment Date prior to the Sale Date that is entered, an error message will be displayed stating that "A valid first payment date must be entered." The Sale Date will always be the date that you are entering the pre-existing customer information unless you change it. How Do I Get There?
