General Information VEHICLE INFORMATION SECTION- This section includes General Information about the vehicle that is being entered into inventory. Some of the fields are very self explanatory but there are a few that require a little more explanation.
STOCK NUMBER - If you have set the FRAZER system to automatically assign stock numbers, the next stock number will be displayed when you enter this screen. To see how to automatically assign stock numbers, click here: Vehicle Options. If you do not wish the FRAZER system to automatically assign stock numbers, this field will be blank when you enter the Adding Vehicle Screen and you can type in a stock number. If the system has assigned a stock number, it can be changed on the Adding Vehicle Screen. Each vehicle entered into inventory MUST have a unique stock number. Even when you repossess a vehicle, you must assign it a new stock number when you add it back to inventory. Stock numbers can include both letters and numbers.
LOCATION CODES - If you need to separate your vehicles into groups for reporting purposes, you may choose to enter a location code for each vehicle. There is a setting in the FRAZER system that allows you to print reports for only certain location codes. To see how to prompt for location codes when printing, click here: Printing Options.
VIN - When you enter a vehicle's VIN and press the tab key, that vehicle's information will be automatically entered. Frazer's VIN decoder will provide the year, make, model, style, transmission, # of cylinders, and engine and fuel type.
VEHICLE TYPE - Some general vehicle types are delivered with the FRAZER system. If additional vehicle types are needed, more can be added by Selecting Vehicle at the top of the main FRAZER screen and then selecting Vehicle Types. Also, a specific Vehicle Type can be selected to be the default. This means that when you add a vehicle it will always be this type unless you change it:
MILEAGE & MILEAGE IS - There are three options to choose from when entering the mileage for the vehicle. The mileage that is entered here always needs to match what is displayed on the odometer.
VEHICLE COSTS SECTION (Figure 1) - This section includes all the cost information for the vehicle so that the total cost of the vehicle is displayed. The total cost is made up of the following:
PURCHASE INFORMATION SECTION (Figure 2) - Included in this section is information regarding where the car originated from.
Helpful Hints Even when a vehicle is exempt from disclose, you should still enter the mileage information on the vehicle screen. At the time of the sale, the exempt status will apply. How Do I Get There?
